Q: Hi is this controller compatible with Apple HomeKit?

A: Not on its own - it requires a Z-Wave Hub - Homey (http://www.smarthome.com.au/homey-smart-home-controller.html) will allow all Z-Wave devices to work with Apple HomeKit.

Q: I have a steel-line SD800 sectional garage door opener. Will your controller work with this opener? Link to manual is here: https://www.steel-lineautomation.com.au/uploads/7/2/0/3/7203835/sd800_installation___operating_instructions.pdf

If it works, I will order a unit.

Thanks.

A: Yes, this will work with your SD800 (https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2632676)

Q: I have been holding out for a garage door opener in Australia that is supported by HomeKit for a couple of years, but it looks like I'm going to have to piece it together myself.

Can I get an idea of what kind of garage door opener I should buy to go with this controller and anything else I would need to bridge it to HomeKit? I only have HomeKit products so far.

A: You will need a Z-Wave "Hub" (Vera Plus is a good entry level controller) to work with AutomationBridge. The good news is you will also be able to include other Z-Wave devices as part of HomeKit.

Q: Where do you mount the sensor if you have a roll-a-door instead of a panel door?
The panel door you need to mount it at the top, middle or left or right side.
Can you mount it at the bottom of the roll-a-door?

A: At the bottom of the roller door - being carful that it does not roll onto the sensor. It will take a bit of trial and error - but it will work.

Q: Unsure how to hook up to Merlin ProLift 230T. Any advice please?

A: Hi John,

Please consult the manual for your garage door opener - what we are looking for is the low-voltage terminals that would normally connect to a wall switch (usually a bell press button). I hope this helps.
