The day started off like a page from a Christmas story. All’s well in home and hearth, I was reclining on my rather large posterior, watching a blockbuster movie on my 66 inch flat screen, playing from my old laptop. My pet monkey mowing the lawn, my email inbox filling up with ‘Amazing Curry Recipes’ sent from the fans of my last blog post and online strangers begging me not to try to make that ‘Amazing Monkey Curry Recipe ’. And then it happened! In full 66 inch HDTV glory; staring at me was the dreaded BSOD or Blue Screen of Death – In layman’s terms MY COMPUTER DIED!
My world spun into a darker place, and I had to know – Who done it! Darn you Jessica Rabbit. Okay for those of you who read my last post you will remember I used my $20 gift voucher from www.smarthome.com.au to purchase a Mini HTPC Keyboard and Mouse that worked like a dream. So I logged back onto www.smarthome.com.au with my trusty smart phone from home to find a solution (Pun intended); and there was the answer, staring at me from all 6 inches of phone screen glory – SIMPLE BOX FOR WEB ACCESS WIHTOUT PC
So then I got smart; I’d already used up my $20 www.smarthome.com.au gift voucher buying that Mini HTPC Keyboard and Mouse that worked like a dream. So I hooked up my pet monkey to the internet and had him do the www.smarthome.com.au survey for another $20 gift voucher, and yes it was so simple even a monkey could do it!
To cut a long story short, my pet monkey lives another day, my ‘Amazing Monkey Curry Recipe’ remains safely in my back pocket and I have movies, the internet and u tube back in 66 inches of glory.
