What is a video sender?

Things have always had a place in your house. The computer has its place. The home theatre has its place. The TV in your bedroom has its place. And they've never been able to talk. You've never been able to watch that movie you downloaded on your PC on your home theatre. Or in your bedroom.

A video sender solves this problem. Set your media free by transmitting your audio and video across your house. And you can do it all without needing to rent extra set top boxes, if you're wanting to send Foxtel Pay TV across your house.

How do video senders work?

Setting up our video senders is simple;

  1. Plug the transmitter video sender into your source.
  2. Plug the receiver video sender into your second TV.
  3. Turn it all on.

We've shown you how this works using our analogue dual input AV sender that is set up to Foxtel across a house. You can also achieve the same result, but with a higher quality result, with both the Digital video sender and the HD video sender.

What do they work with?

We've tested Cocoon AV sender/receiver systems on the following set top boxes:

  • Foxtel; including Foxtel IQ and Foxtel IQ2
  • Optus TV
  • Austar
  • TiVo

We've also got them working on the following systems:

  • Other Australian and New Zealand Pay-TV systems including the smaller satellite packages from India, the Middle East, and parts of the Far East
  • Free-to-air Television
  • DVD and DVD Recorders
  • Video VCRs
