More info

The sound of breaking glass travels from the breaking point outward at a high frequency. When the sound reaches the sensor, the alarm is triggered. The software has digital recognition technology that can reliably distinguish between true alarms and false alarms, it offers uncompromised performance and unmatched false alarm immunity.  As the sensor is triggered by the sound and vibration of the glass breaking, the alarm trips before the intruder has entered the room, which may well discourage the intruder to continue the crime. The glass break detector can be installed directly on the frame, ceiling or wall near within 8 meters of a window. The glass break detector is commonly used near glass doors or glass store-front windows to detect if an intruder breaks the glass and enters.

Glass Breaks are the perfect application for homes with many windows. Even if the doors and windows of your house are protected by contact sensors, your home is still vulnerable to someone breaking in through a glass area. Even though the shattering glass will make a loud noise, it will not trigger your door or window sensor to sound the alarm. That is why a glass break and shock detectors are so important.
