How We Use It
SmartHome.com.au's staff use Z~Series in both our homes and office, and because of the distance between the two it should come as no surprise that we frequently use Z~Series on our mobile phones. At SmartHome.com.au our phone of choice is the iPhone and using its 3G connection we connect to Z~Series via the Control Server.
The Office
From our iPhones we use Z~Series as an energy and security solution for our offices. While the majority of our office devices are automated, for the days when the scheduling isn't what we need (perhaps we're on the road or interstate) we're able to turn off our work station for the day. Money saved. In the evenings and weekends, the ability to monitor, record and control our Z~Series security cameras provides more than a little peace of mind should there ever be a false alarm.
Our Homes
Our homes are pretty well operated, but from the road Z~Series provides us with much the same solution that it does for our offices. Of course, the home is where the heart is so we're more likely to be viewing our Z~Series security cameras then turning devices on and off (though one of us does like turning on their electric blanket before heading home from a good night out).
But we don't use the security solutions for security alone; with a lot of young families a part of the wider SmartHome.com.au family, the Z~Series security cameras often double as a nanny cam and a way of seeing our loved ones when we're away from home.
