X10 home automation.
Professional quality.
Professional perfomance.
Professional reliability.
What is X10Pro?
Put simply: X10Pro is X10 on steroids.
X10Pro is an advanced approach to the X10 home automation platform that addresses the limitations of original X10 technology. It does so by introducing new technology layers into every X10Pro module.
One such layer is RF (radio communication). Traditionally X10 has allowed you to use remote controls to talk to a central unit, known as a TM13. The TM13 would communicate with the modules you wanted to control via PLC (powerline communication). For some homes, the TM13 was unable to pass on an X10 signal due to interference. X10Pro addresses this issue by building the same technology that's in the TM13 into every receiving X10Pro module. That means that a signal can go directly from your remote to the modules you want to control and automate. Interference free.

We get asked a lot of questions about how different home automation technologies compare. Commonly we're asked about X10 vs X10Pro, A10 vs X10Pro, and Xanura vs X10Pro. This is how they stack up;
Plug & Play
DIY, plug and play modules included in the range

Power Used
3 volts
3 volts
6 Volts
Two Way Communication
Modules capable of 2 way communication included in the range

PLC
Power line based communications with components

Advanced RF
Advanced radio communications built into some receiving components

Multiple unit codes
Allows a component to be included in advanced scene macros without the need for a central server

If you're unsure of any of the technologies mentioned, here's a brief run down (you can follow the links for more information):
- X10 is the basis for the majority of DIY home automation technologies. Those which aren't directly related to it copy its principles.
- A10 is a now defunct home automation technology that used X10Protocols, however, consumed more electricity to do so. It was manufactured by ACT then by Eaton, both of whom have abandoned the technology.
- Xanura was a full home automation system based upon A10. As with A10, it was manufactured by Eaton and is now defunct.
Available X10Pro Modules and Components
The X10Pro range of products is fast being extended. Below is the current range of X10Pro modules.
X10Pro wall switches
Available as both non-wired transmitters, and full wall switches.
X10Pro plug & play controllers
Currently available with British and European plugs only; for current Australian order please see our range of X10 receiver modules.
X10Pro micro modules
Micro-modules are what makes the X10Pro platform the perfect retrofit home automation solution: small in size (only 2cm thick!) they fit neatly behind an existing switch or fotting.
