Program timed events and schedules for your home's lights and security system! Quick to install and simple to use, this starter kit features on–screen representations of your home's devices giving you control from your PC or Apple Mac. With geographic location settings, the computer module knows what time sunrise and sunset is therefore letting control your lights and appliances according to these events. The 3-piece computer kit is a simple X10 starter kit designed to get you started with your X10 home control system and can be expanded using any of SmartHome.com.au's X10 home automation devices.

The computer module included in this kit is a programmable interface, meaning that you can program sequences and moods (called macros). A macro involves a series of instructions, triggered by a certain command. For example you could make a 'going to bed' sequence: the stair lights turn on after the lounge room lights are turned off, the downstairs lights then turn off 10 minutes later, the bedroom lights dim to 50% before all lights switch off after a further 30 minutes. Macros can be stored in the memory of the computer interface, so that timers and macros are followed even when your computer is turned off.

With the lamp receiver modules included in kit, you can start automating your home immediately. Your system can be expanded by adding more home control receivers and transmitters as required. Each lamp module enables you to switch and dim any incandescent lamp up to 300W.

The included ActiveHome software has a lifestyle feature, which will monitor your home control system for a period of time and then replay your routine when you’re away - adding security to your home by giving your home a lived-in look. With built–in memory, your computer module will not lose its scheduled timers and sequences during a power failure.

The computer unit can address all 256 X10 addresses, so you can control up to 256 lights and appliances in your home.

Technical Note:

• Use with Mac will require X10 Mac software (not included) along with Mac specific PL-2303 drivers available for OS 8, OS 9, and OS X from Prolific.
• Also known as CK13.
• This product includes insulated pins and has been tested and approved to Australian/New Zealand regulatory standards.
• The provided ActiveHome software is not compatible with 64 bit editions of Microsoft Windows.
