3-piece X10 Home Theatre Control Kit

The 3-piece Home Theatre Kit is a simple X10 starter kit designed to get you going with X10 home control. Making a great gift idea, the kit contains the following items:

The 8-in-1 remote in conjunction with the RF interface has the ability to control any of our X10 home control receivers and interfaces.

How it works:

The 8–in–1 remote control works just like the remote control units you’re used to. It replaces up to 7 existing remotes, and is programmed to send the correct commands for your brand simply by entering in a three–digit code from a manufacturer list provided (done once during setup). Furthermore, it can control anything with infrared reception, like air conditioners and ceiling fans, by learning individual buttons from the remotes for those items. The remote also allows you to have control over your X10 home control lights and appliances from anywhere in the home or office.

To control your home, the 8-in-1 remote sends RF (radio frequency) signals to the RF interface module which in turn sends the X10 home control signals to your X10 receivers. One receiver is included with this kit, a plug-in dimmable lamp module to control a lamp. The RF signals from the remote work through walls and floors, so you don't need to be in the same room as the RF interface module.

Using the X10 function, you can control your home theatre system including DVD player and LCD television, but you also have control of the lounge room lighting, including dimming. In conjunction with a programmable interface (eg. Leopard Touchscreen or Computer Interface), you can also use the remote to trigger macros and sequences, so that one button press performs a series of tasks. The only problem you may have is that your friends will want to spend more time playing with the features of your Home Theatre Kit than actually watching the movie!

The Lamp Module included within the Theatre Kit lets you switch and dim any incandescent lamp up to 300W, whilst the plug–in RF interface also doubles as an appliance receiver, letting you control a plug-in appliance up to 10 Amps.

This product includes insulated pins and has been tested and approved to Australian/New Zealand regulatory standards.
