The EC8 8in1 remote is a universal remote that can replace up to 8 of your existing remotes, giving you one remote for all your equipment. Pre-programmed to control most brands and models of TV, VCR, DVD, PayTV, Audio system and satellite decoder - whilst also being capable of learning additional codes in conjunction with your original remote control (great for adding control of other devices such as IR controlled air-conditioners and fans).

The EC8 Remote Control is an IR (Infrared) and RF (radio frequency) transmitting device that gives you control of up to 7 audio/video devices, including DVD, CD and pay TV. It is pre–programmed to control most brands of video and audio equipment. The 8th function that it can control is your X10 home control system, enabling you to also control your X10 enabled lights and appliances. The 8-in-1 remote interfaces to your home control system with the addition of an RF Interface unit such as the TM13 or V572AE.

There’s no longer any need to have multiple remote controls: the EC8 Universal remote can do the job of all of them.

Additional features:

The EC8 remote sends signals as IR and RF at the same time. RF signals travel through walls and floors up to a range of 30m. So if you also purchase a Powermid Receiver unit (RF receiver), the EC8 can be used to control your A/V equipment from wherever you are in the house!
