The 8-piece computer kit is a powerful X10 starter kit which is a combination of our 3-piece computer kit, 3-piece home theatre kit with the addition of a light socket for ceiling-lighting automation.

Designed to get you started with your X10 home control system, the 8 piece starter kit can be easily expanded now, or down the track, to include other home automation features such as light dimmers and wall switches.

What's in this pack?

• 1 x CM12 Computer Interface with USB interface
• 2 x LM12 Plug-In lamp modules (enables you to switch and dim any incandescent lamp up to 300W)
• 1 x AM12 Plug-In appliance module (operate any plug-in appliance up to 10 Amps)
• 1 x LM15 Light socket module (operate incandescent light globes up to 100W). Please note that by default the kit comes with a Bayonet light socket, if you'd like an Edison screw type please make a note of it during the checkout process.
• 1 x EC8 8-in-1 remote control unit
• 1 x TM13 RF Interface unit
• 1 x ActiveHome home automation software

Featuring a very quick DIY installation and simple to use, this 8-piece starter kit features software that provides on–screen representations of your home's devices giving you control of your house from your PC. With geographic location settings, the computer module knows what time sunrise and sunset, enabling it to control your lights and appliances according to these times.

The computer module included in this kit is a programmable interface, meaning that you can program sequences and moods for easy use at a later stage. For example you could make a 'going to bed' setting: the stair lights turn on after the sitting room lights are turned off, the downstairs lights then turn off 10 minutes later, the bedroom lights dim to 50% before all lights switch off after a further 30 minutes. These settings can be stored in the memory of the computer interface, so that timers and macros are followed even when your computer is turned off. Perfect for a green 21st century!

To enable the PC control and recorded sequences this 8-piece starter kits comes with the ActiveHome software; it's inbuilt lifestyle features will monitor your home control system and then replay your routine when you're away - adding an extra layer of home security by giving your house a lived-in look.

• Use with Apple Mac requires Mac home automation software along with Mac specific PL-2303 drivers available for OS 8, OS 9, and OS X from Prolific.
• The provided ActiveHome software is not compatible with 64 bit editions of Microsoft Windows. Nor does it support Windows Vista or Windows 7.
• This product includes insulated pins and has been tested and approved to Australian/New Zealand regulatory standards.
