X10 IR & RF to Interface for Remote Controls

The IR7243RF transmitter lets you interface IR (Infra-Red) and RF (Radio Frequency) learning remote controls, such as the Icon Universal Remote Control and the Logitech Harmony, with your X10 home automation system.

This desktop unit gives you manually control of up to eight X10 modules by way of the buttons on top of the unit, and up to sixteen X10 devices via remote control. Alternatively you can use your remote to trigger sequences/macros and moods and your remote can indirectly control up to all 256 X10 addresses.

X10 commands supported by the IR7243 include Dim/Brighten, All Lights On/All Units Off and address On/Off.

How it works:

Simply plug the IR7243 into a standard 240V power point. You'll then have manual or remote control of up to eight X10 home control receivers (such as lamp and appliances modules) and X10 switches.

Technical Note:

• It is generally not recommended to have more than one RF interface installed in your home on the same house code. Therefore if you already have a TM13 RF interface then please purchase the IR7243 IR minicontroller.
• This unit replaces the inferior IR7243 and the IR543, both of which could only interpret IR remote controls and not both IR and RF.
