When the energy saving features of Z~Series were tested in the United States the home control server was used to create a number of scenes; such as all devices off. Timers were then implemented to turn everything in a house off when the owner's weren't at home or were asleep in bed.

Over the course of a month it was found that such a set up would save the average home approximately $100 in electricity. In comparison, the server cost only $2 a month to run.
