Appliance Controller Setup

The Z~Series in-wall appliance controller can be wired behind an existing wall plug or in your wall space to allow for appliance switching and automation as a part of your Z~Series home. Having an in-wall appliance module wired into your home to create a Z~Series network is straightforwards and is represented below.

Lighting Controller Setup

The Z~Series in-wall lighting controller can be wired behind an existing wall switch or in your ceiling space to allow for lighting control and automation including scheduling, dimming, and remote control. The wiring is no more difficult then installing the in-wall module on your existing power line, and you can see a representation of this below.

Front of In Wall Module

The front of each in-wall module will be used by yourself or your installer to pair the module with a Z~Series controller such as a remote control or a USB stick.

The button in the top right hand corner of the module will allow you to put it into setup mode to include or remove the module from your network. The black circle to its left is a light that indicates the setup status of the module.

Rear of In Wall Module

The rear of each in-wall module will be used by your electrician / installer to wire the module into your home's existing wiring.

1. Connects to your existing switch or wiring
2. Passes the live electricity through to the load (light, plug or appliance)
3. Connects to the live element of your existing switch or wiring
4. Connects to neutral and to the load

Australian Z~Series Members

Australian owners of Z~Series homes, or those looking to add Z~Series to their homes, please note: under Australian law an electrician is required to perform all electrical wiring adjustments in your home, including the installation of the in-wall components from the Bespoke part of the Z~Series range. However, as a result of the simplicity of the installation it should be a relatively inexpensive task for any electrician and requires no specialist knowledge.

Please note that as a result of these laws the setup diagrams above should not be considered a 'how to'. Wiring instructions are provided in the manual with each in-wall module and should be referred to by your installer.
