The smartest Multi-Sensor.
A smart home is only truly smart when it’s intelligent. A smart home has to offer more than a schedule; it has to react to what’s occurring in a home in real-time.
The new MultiSensor 7 is the foundation of a modern smart home; within its perfectly small exterior lies all the technology for real-time intelligence.
Motion Sensor
With a 10 metre range and a 120° field of view, MultiSensor 7 captures motion data that can be used for everything from security to heating management to energy saving.
Temperature Sensor
From motorised curtains and windows to fans and thermostats, there are a lot of ways that you can use Z-Wave to keep the temperature of a room absolutely perfect. MultiSensor 7 provides the intelligence to do just that.
Light Sensor
Automated lighting is only as smart as the system that powers it. With MultiSensor 7’s real-time, digital light sensor measuring the level of light in a room, your home control system will be able to intelligently maintain its ambiance.
Humidity Sensor
MultiSensor 7 offers incremental monitoring of a humidity ranging from 0% to 100%, allowing for the intelligent automation of fans, motorised windows, dehumidifiers and humidifiers.
Vibration Sensor
MultiSensor 7 contains a seismic sensor capable of detecting and reporting event-based vibrations. Those slight changes can be used to protect MultiSensor 7 – it’ll know if an intruder is tampering with it or if the sensor has accidentally moved.
UV Sensor
Perfectly managing an environment means understanding it perfectly. MultiSensor 7 measures ultraviolet light; the kind of light that causes everything from furniture bleaching to eye damage.
Simple to install...
Because it’s capable of capturing so much useful data and offering so much intelligence to your smart home, there are a lot of places you might want to install MultiSensor 7.
Yes, the traditional ceiling-corner is one of them. But because it’s small and weighs only 74 grams, MultiSensor 7 can be installed almost anywhere.
Wall mountable
Used as a beam motion sensor, MultiSensor 7 will monitor confined spaces and hallways up to 10 metres.
Ceiling mountable
How small can MultiSensor 7 be? Install it in a ceiling using the recess mount accessory (sold separately) and MultiSensor 7 will extrude only 1.2cm.
On a shelf
Perfectly graded at just 3.5°, MultiSensor 7’s tapered sides make the perfect installation as simple as placing it on any flat surface.
In a corner
The traditional motion sensor gets an intelligent upgrade. MultiSensor 7 can be installed up to 5 metres off the ground with a 120° motion.
Smart accessories.
Mounting arm
Discrete and for corner installations, the mounting arm allows you to rotate MultiSensor 7 up to 360° and refine its field of view by up to 50°.
USB cable
After 2 years you won’t have to change batteries if you power MultiSensor 7 via mains power using the provided 1.5 metre USB cable.
3M double-sided tape
Weighing only 74 grams, MultiSensor 7 can be easily installed with just the provided double sided tape from 3M.

- Q Hello, can this be used outdoors? Is it weatherproof?A No, this product is for indoor use only. Can I use these in a walk in robe? Just the motion sensor part of it to turn the light on when someone enters? I note it measures light levels so I would not want it on during the day, if there was no light in the room. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Read moreA Hi Michael, The ceiling fans may or may not be problematic... unfortuantly it is impossible to say for sure as each installation is unique. I am confident that with correct positioning and by adjusting the sensitivity for the MultiSensor, you should be able to get them working together without issue. It would be worth testing one before rolling out to your entire home.

Received my order for 8 of these very quickly. thanks!. I am very happy with the quality and how easy it was to add to my vera. I recommend this product without hesitation.

Purchased this to use with the Aeotec Z Wave stick. Works well when within 1 mtr of the hub but as soon as I take it outside that range it’s temperamental – misses sensor reports, slow to update / doesn’t update. Tried tweaking some of the internal settings, tried battery and mains power, but no change. I was a bit bummed out as the sensor looks good and is built well, maybe I just got a dodgy unit.
Tried to contact SmartHome through the feedback form to see if they had any ideas but never heard back. Oh well. I am now using some Xiaomi sensors that are substantially cheaper, update instantly anywhere in my home and integrate well.
SmartHome: Hi Daniel, I am sorry to say that we did not receive a support ticket for this issue. Not to worry, I have arranged for an RMA to be emailed through to you. We will happily look at this under warranty and provide a replacement or refund. It certainly seems like an unusual issue as we have found this device to be very reliable – we will take a look as soon as we receive it back. I hope this helps, please let us know if we can assist further in any way. All the best, SmartHome

I own both the Fibaro and Aeotec motions sensors. This is one of the rare cases where I have to say this Aeotec motion sensor is better than the Fibaro equivalent. Cheaper too!

Was surprised at how small it was when I opened the packaging, but it’s really accurate & works great with my Vera. Doesn’t come with batteries, but then, nothing does these days!

Got one for our kitchen because we have true wooden floors so need the humidity reading. Not quite as motion sensitive as the trisensor but close enough. If you use a community hub like Hubitat or Smartthings, grab the better driver to get a better range of settings out of it otherwise it’s spot on. Put it in the Aeotec Recessor and it’s even better.

Packs a lot of sensors into a neat and tidy product. Good value considering all that you get and looks nice too. Thanks.
