Bought this before the really hot weather sets in, so I could test it out. Everyone at home tends to forget to turn off cooling when they leave the house, so will be good to be able to access it when at work. Easily added to my Vera and Fujitsu split-sytem.

  2. Nathan

This device works as described the only issue I have found is the temperature sensor is not very accurate which makes it a hit and miss affair when trying to use it to trigger a cooling event. Other than that it does the ir side of things very well and integrates well with the vera gateway and with home assistant using an aeotec z-wave stick.

Product Questions & Answers

I have 8 Fujitsu split system heads running off 3 outdoor units. If I purchase one of these for each head (they are all in different rooms) can I ‘zone’ some of the aircons, for example all the ones upstairs so they can all be operated simultaneously, or will they need to be operated independently? I intend on purchasing a HC3 controller to connect to the RF repeaters.

A Not really, as there are very limited remote control slots for commands. It is far better suited to split-system air-conditioners. We recommend you take a look at Global Cache range of IR products - http://www.smarthome.com.au/catalogsearch/advanced/result/?name=&manufacturer=149
