Filtering:
Interference that reduces the range of your X10 home control system can sometimes come into your home from the incoming electricity supply. The FD10 suppresses this interference, thus increasing the range and reliability of your system. It also stops the unlikely chance of your neighbour's X10 system turning on and off your lights!
3-Phase coupling:
If you have X10 home control receivers on multiple phases, the signals will not be able to get from one to the other. In this case you'll need a 3-phase coupler. The FD10 has the ability to couple X10 signals across phases, you'll need one FD10 per phase. The FD10 is a passive coupler, meaning that it simply allows the signal to pass through onto the other phases. The best coupler to use is our FKX40, which actually repeats and amplifies the signal onto the other phases - improving the reliability of your system.
