No, this sensor is batter only. The Aeotec MultiSensor 6 can be powered via USB.

Have had just over a year of good performance then suddenly it kept dropping out of the mesh. The battery was at 82%. A new battery seemed to resolve the problem, but a month later it has dropped off the mesh again. Given up on trying to get it to work and replacing with Aotec as all my other Aotec are working great.

These leave the Aeotec sensor for dead in terms of detection and response time to detecting movement, I use them in all my jobs. The battery I’ve got in my personal home unit remains unchanged at 1.5 years and its operated daily (mostly by my dogs!) I love the units and you won’t go wrong.

Purchased two of these units to work with HomeSeer HS4.
I find that they work ok for a couple of days and then become unresponsive. I have to delete them and go through the process of putting them back on the network. After doing this a few times I felt they were little use for my purpose.This may be just a problem with the HomeSeer system but still annoying just the same
I have since revisited the Aeotec sensor I had. As stated elsewhere the Aeotec sensors don’t appear to be as good straight out of the box but after some tweaking of the sensor configuration it is working to my satisfaction.
