Aeotec Nano Dimmer (ZW111)

Aeotec Nano Dimmer is a Z-Wave smart dimmer specifically used to enable Z-Wave command and control (on/off/dim) of connected dimmable lighting via a Z-Wave compatible hub or software. It can report immediate wattage consumption or kWh energy usage over a period of time. In the event of power failure, non-volatile memory retains all programmed information relating to the unit’s operating status. Nano Dimmer can connect to 1 or 2 external switches to control the connected lighting manually.

Wall-switch calibration

Out of the box, the Aeotec Nano Dimmer is designed to be controlled by a “momentary bell press” switch mechanism. However, the Nano Dimmer will also work with a standard latching on/off switch – we can force the Nano Dimmer to automatically detect the type of switch attached and calibrate accordingly…

Switch connected to S1

Press the “Action” button on the Nano Dimmer 4 times quickly – the LED on the Nano Dimmer will start flashing green. Now flick the attached standard latching light switch once  OR  quickly press and release the attached momentary switch. Wait about 20 seconds and the Nano Dimmer should now be calibrated to work correctly with the attached switch.

Switch connected to S2

Press the “Action” button on the Nano Dimmer 6 times quickly – the LED on the Nano Dimmer will start flashing green. Now flick the attached standard latching light switch once  OR  quickly press and release the attached momentary switch. Wait about 20 seconds and the Nano Dimmer should now be calibrated to work correctly with the attached switch.
